Rheem Value Series™ (13/14AJM) — Single Stage
The Rheem Value Series™ High Efficiency 13/14AJM condensing unit was designed with performance in mind. These units offer comfort, energy conservation, and dependability for single, multi-family, and light commercial applications.
The Rheem Value Series™ 13/14AJM condensing units are the result of an ongoing development program for improved efficiencies. With system efficiency as high as 17 SEER, these units continue a tradition of delivering high efficiency.
They also use an advanced alternate refrigerant that contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) (or other compounds that may leak from air conditioning systems and potentially harm the protective ozone layer of the Earth’s atmosphere).

Additional benefits (cabinet, design, and service access)
A big part of long-term value is how well a unit is built—and how reasonable it is to service. The Rheem Value Series™ 13/14AJM includes practical design details meant to protect the unit and make access easier.
Cabinet and design features include:
- An attractive, painted, louvered wrap-around steel cabinet that helps protect the coil from yard hazards and weather extremes for added reliability and durability
- Controls that are accessible by removing one service panel
- A removable top grille that provides access to the condenser fan motor and condenser coil for easier accessibility and serviceability
- A combination grille/motor mount that secures the motor to the underside of the discharge grille—adding protection for the motor windings and bearings from rain and snow
Operation and sound considerations
Comfort isn’t just temperature—it’s also how the system behaves while it runs. This unit is designed with operation details that support quiet, steady performance.
Operational features include:
- A PSC fan motor designed for low speed, quiet, energy-saving operation
- Upward air discharge away from bushes and shrubs
- A top-grille discharge pattern designed to provide minimum air restriction, resulting in quieter fan operation
- Condenser coils constructed with copper tubing and enhanced aluminum fins
Low profile, less noticeable outdoor footprint
If you’re thinking about how an outdoor AC unit will look next to your home, this model’s low profile design helps it stay less noticeable in the yard. It’s also designed to be easily installed while leaving room for optional equipment and maintaining access for maintenance.
Warranty information (what to know)
Warranty details matter—especially when you’re comparing systems.
These units feature a 10-year conditional limited parts and compressor warranty, when registered and properly installed with a new Rheem air handler or Rheem indoor coil with a Rheem gas furnace. (See the product warranty card for additional information.)
If you’re unsure what combinations apply to your setup, we’re happy to talk through the options and what you’re trying to achieve.
Let’s talk through the right fit
Choosing the “best” AC isn’t about chasing the highest number on a brochure—it’s about matching the equipment to your space, your comfort expectations, and your long-term plans.
